SUPERNATURAL STRENGTH
24th Jun 2015
We had a wonderful Church Wedding last Saturday, it involved a lot of people, loving, serving, giving, cooking and moving chairs and tables in order to turn the church building into a reception venue once the service had finished! The Church building had been generously loaned to us for the occasion.
There was a wonderful spirit of joy and unity, but also a great deal of physical and emotional energy expended. Consequently, a lot of tired people rallied for our normal Sunday morning set up at the school where we worship. Human resources were stretched, sleep had been in short supply.
However, scripture promises us supernatural resources. They are real and will replenish us in ways that no amount of sleep and rest can, but we need to believe that they are there for us and then experience that exchange of weakness replaced by strength; supernatural joy releasing divine resources.
We were reminded of the tree that grows alongside the river that flows from the throne of God in the eternal city, “On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the trees are for the healing of the nations.” (Revelation 22:2) We asked to be given a taste of that fruit, to restore, rebuild and re-energise us.
God’s promise to us is to give strength to the weary, to enable us to run and not faint, to find strength in the place of weakness. Right now, eat some fruit from the tree that imparts healing and life. Ask for heavenly resources to keep you going that second mile. Don’t struggle on simple relying on human strength when there is so much more available.
Isaiah 40:29-30 says, “He gives strength to the weary, and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength.”
Experience this today - exchange your weakness for His strength!
