ANOINTING

Earlier this year, the Lord was talking to me about anointing, how much we need it and how willingly He gives it.
“Child, I give my anointing freely to those who desire my help. If your attitude is to do things alone, you can, but with my anointing, you will find every task easier and smoother to accomplish. I will anoint you to serve, to heal, to cast out demons, and to live a full life.”
One definition of anointing describes it as: “Being set apart, and giving you spiritual power and authority, as well as tools to fulfil a specific purpose.”
I find myself seeking this anointing and equipping, whether the task is teaching, encouraging, or baking a cake. I know I need God’s Spirit to help me in every aspect of life.
After a very busy week, I felt tired and a bit drained, and on reflection, I saw how much had needed the constant infilling and anointing of the Holy Spirit. There were times when I had used self-effort; I quickly repented and asked for a fresh anointing, and especially for wisdom to pace myself and experience supernatural strength.
I took hold of the verse that says, “As your days, so shall your strength be” (Deuteronomy 33:25), and strength and joy returned as we entertained guests over the weekend.
We need anointing and supernatural resources so that life can be full of joy and peace, and we can enjoy it “on earth as it is in heaven”!
