LIVING UNITED WITH JESUS
29th Apr 2026
Father God wants you and me to live a supernatural life, manifesting God’s presence and glory in the ordinary circumstances of life, living united with God’s Spirit and using the power and resources of Jesus in whatever is happening around us.
Every day we need to be filled afresh with God’s Holy Spirit. Every moment, we need our ears and eyes to be open, seeing and hearing what God is making us aware of, and knowing what to do, what to say, and where to go. We are joined to Christ Jesus, and He is to be in the driving seat. We are to go and do what He instructs. It sounds simple, but in practice it is more difficult, as we have a tendency to be independent, so we constantly need to stop, listen, and follow.
Recently, I was reading Psalm 84:5-7 in The Message, which says, “How blessed are those in whom you live, whose lives become roads you travel.” I want to live with the Holy Spirit leading, to see God’s Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. I want all that the Bible tells us is available to me, and to give it away in ways Jesus directs. I woke up singing a hymn, “Lift up your head to the coming King, bow before Him and adore Him, sing. To His Majesty, let your praise be pure and holy, giving glory to the King of Kings.”
Recently, I found myself praying with a young woman who desperately needs God’s healing power in her body. I sensed that she wanted this healing but was resisting taking an active role in her own faith. It was as if she was saying, “It’s up to God, not me!” I felt sad that there seemed to be no sense of responsibility for her to be involved in her healing, and there was a total absence of faith involvement.
My own prayer is that I will receive all God has promised and have open ears to hear His specific instructions on how to live. Where to go? What to say? How to pray?
