MY HEART SINGS PRAISES

“My Heart sings praises each time I say Your Name.”
Psalm 8:2 says, “Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies.” In The Message it declares, “songs that drown out enemy talk, and silence atheist babble.”
Matthew 21:16-17 tells of how the religious leaders were indignant when the children were waving palm branches and shouting “Hosanna to the Son of David,” however Jesus reminded them of Psalm 8 and reaffirmed that the Lord God had called forth praise from such as these.
Years ago I was struggling with mental arguments, and couldn’t seem to stop returning repeatedly to the same issues. The Lord gave me a direct command to stop this by singing His praise. The moment my mind returned to this track, I began to sing out loud and found that it silenced the turmoil in my mind and removed the issue, silencing the enemy.
Find a song that lifts up the Name of Jesus and sing it out loud; not only will it do you good, but as the devil hates to hear God honoured and worshipped it will chase away any negative thoughts and emotions of a depressive nature.
Ask God for songs in the night, for sings of deliverance and put them on your lips. If the Holy Spirit gives you a line from a hymn or song, look up the words and read the full text. God is using this as a means of speaking something special to you. Start the day with a song of praise and you’ll find that song will set the tone of your day.
A few nights ago I awoke with the line, “My heart sings praises each time I say Your Name.” So I looked it up on Google, saw a YouTube video and found the full text, which includes these lines,
“In my heart You are the power
In my night never failing light
With every breath that I take
I’ll declare the things You’ve done
In my mind mighty Overcomer
In my soul the reason why
In my life You’re the One the fire that calls me on.”
Make a choice today to silence the enemy using praise, rather that allowing satan to silence you!
