GOD'S PRESENCE

Luke 11:31 states that “the Queen of the South and others came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here.” Jesus, the Son of God, demonstrating wisdom and love in action.
Christians have this “greater one, Jesus” living in them, changing them, instructing them, and by the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, His wisdom is accessible at any time - what an amazing privilege!
James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” Many times I’ve asked for wisdom, seen my need for it. However, when I realise that Jesus is wisdom and He lives in me by His Spirit, I marvel at the possibility of being able to access wisdom and receive His direction whatever situation I am facing.
I am so thankful that Jesus lives in me. I want to live with that constant awareness of “His presence” and have His influence on all my thinking and actions. John 10:10 declares that “Jesus has come to give us life in all its fullness - abundant life.”
Solomon states that human wisdom will never reveal God’s wisdom. Eccl 8:17 says in The Message, “If you keep your eyes open day and night without blinking, you’ll still never figure out the meaning of what God is doing on this earth.”
God wants you and me to live relying on His Spirit in every area of life, living to the full, acknowledging “His presence” and being thankful. As I was thinking about these truths, I remembered a song by Darlene Zschech -
“Show me Your ways that I may walk with you
Show me Your ways, I put my hope in You
The cry of my heart is to love you more
To live with the touch of Your hand
Stronger each day, show me Your ways”
Jesus’ life demonstrated “God’s presence” within Him, and He wants our lives to do the same.
