GOD'S HEART FOR YOU

At a time when I was greatly in need of God’s comfort, I had a very clear dream. I saw myself speaking to someone who asked me if I had read the previous days, “Faith to Faith” (the daily devotional written by the Copeland’s). I hadn’t, and when I awoke I found the book, turned to the piece, and was amazed to see it was so clearly what I needed to hear. It was not simply the content of the written message that impressed me, but such a wonderful comfort to know that God knew exactly what I needed, and had used the dream to lead me so precisely. I was overwhelmed by His care and understanding of my needs. He knew me inside out.
As I was reading the account of Gabriel's visit to Mary in Luke chapter 1, I was struck by his greeting, not simply his angelic appearance, but the content of the message. “Good morning! You’re beautiful with God’s beauty, beautiful inside and out. God be with you.” (The Message) or as it says in the NIV, “Greetings, you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with you ... you have found favour with God.” (Luke 1:28-30)
Mary seemed more affected by the words spoken than who delivered them! Had she been crying out, longing to know God, longing for greater intimacy? As yet we do not know the answer to those questions. However God answered the deep longing of her heart in a way that she certainly didn’t expect. She experienced His answer to her heart cry and said, “Let it be to me according to your word.”
Ask God today to break into your life and meet your deepest need - however He chooses. It could be a dream, an angel or just something very mundane, but expect Him to reveal to you how much He cares for you - be expectant.
