GOD'S FAITHFULNESS
10th Aug 2022
Psalm 37:5 states, “Commit your way to the Lord, trust in him and he will do this.” The previous verse says, “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
Many years ago we made Jesus Lord of our lives and have sought to follow His directions, go His way, and surrender our choices to Him. We believe He has led us, gone before us preparing where we live and what we do. In one sense we are not free agents who can do and go where we please. We want heavenly directions at all times, so that we can be at peace and have purpose in every aspect of life.
I’m sparing you the details; but knowing it was time to move house, we sold very quickly and agreed to move by the end of August. We committed our way to the Lord and believed He would help us find a suitable, smaller, more manageable house. So we prepared to sort out 34 years of family living, and were trusting we would find a new house quickly. God’s timing is always perfect and most of the time we were peaceful and trusting. We had made arrangements to stay with friends as we hadn’t found anywhere suitable, and time seemed to be running out - but God!
When He moves on our behalf it’s always perfect. Last week our granddaughter found a house online and suggested we viewed it; it had escaped our notice. We viewed last Friday, and heard yesterday that our offer had been accepted. Perfect timing and provision, overlooked by us, found by God!
Sometimes we don’t even know what our hearts desires are, but because our heavenly Father knows us, and has all wisdom, and is outside of time, He makes good choices on our behalf, and everything He does is perfect.
Leaning on Father God and not on our own understanding is a lifestyle choice, not always understood by those who live in a different way, but has over the years proved to be a way of blessing for us. Thank you for praying and caring for us.
Hebrews 10:23 says, “Let is hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”
! Peter 5:7 says, “Cast all your cares on him, because he cares for you.”
