GOD IS FOR YOU
09th Feb 2022
God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit want an intimate relationship with you. You were created to live a life ordered and blessed by God. The sin divide was dealt with by Jesus on Calvary, His desire was to restore you into relationship with Father God, so that you would know that same fellowship and closeness Jesus Himself experienced. It’s mind boggling, but true!
Ephesians 2:13 says, “You who were once far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” The Message puts it, “You who were once out of it altogether are in on everything.” These are foundational N.T. truths preached by the apostles, clearly taught by Paul and believed by Christians through the ages.
God’s desire is for His beloved children to know His presence, His voice, His hand upon them in blessing in every area of life. Satan’s strategy is to question this; in numerous ways he misrepresents God, questions His goodness, so that many believers see God as an authority figure, waiting to pounce and correct whenever they fall short of perfection - wrong! wrong! wrong!
Believing that God’s intention is always to bless, I was delighted to read how God describes Job, “Have you noticed my friend Job? There is no one quite like him - honest and true to his word, totally devoted to God and hating evil.” (Job 1:8)
Satan’s response is very interesting and I believe encapsulates God’s heart to mankind. Job 1:10 in The Message says, “You pamper him like a pet, make sure nothing bad every happens to him or his family of his possessions, bless everything he does - he can’t lose!”
The story continues; and despite all that is thrown at Job, he never curses God or turns away, he longs to speak to Him, to understand what’s happening. His friends accuse him of all sorts, his body is tormented, but Job’s experience of God’s friendship and blessing cause him to trust even when he cannot understand why.
God is for you, His intention is to bless you, He has drawn you near, invited you to pour out your heart to Him, to listen to instructions from His Holy Spirit. King David faced many hardships in life which he didn’t understand until he spent time in the sanctuary, close to God, laying out his problems and needs, handing over the weight to God and receiving assurance of His help and presence.
Turn to Him today and run into His arms for comfort and insight. He has a plan for you, which is a path of blessing and protection, for your family and your possessions. In Jesus you have been fully restored - so live in His goodness
