DESTINY
02nd Jan 2019
Recently we were able to spend some time with good friends who we had not seen for some while. As we were about to leave them we prayed together and were given some significant prophetic words for our lives and future. This was a great encouragement but also a challenge.
There is a destiny over every life that is placed into the hands of God. Do you have an unfulfilled prophetic word? It is time to remind yourself of that word and to pray it into being. Paul spoke these words to Timothy, “Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.” (1 Timothy 4:14) In the second letter Paul’s says, “Fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.” (Ch 1:6)
It is easy to become lazy, or simply passive when it comes to the destiny that God has spoken over your life. It is time to become active in prayer, to begin to declare the things that God has spoken to you. To take authority over any way that the devil has sought to rob you of your future and promises received.
God has chosen you for fruitfulness, He has sent you out to declare His gospel to the whole world. Peter told Cornelius and his friends of the divine mandate, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.” (Acts 10:38)
Our destiny is not just to receive personal promises, but we are called to be a dynamic influence in our world. We enter 2019 when our nation faces critical issues and life changing decisions, and we are God’s people who by prayer can declare, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
