NOW FAITH....

“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1.
We and many of our friends are going through very challenging times, battles with physical sickness and disease, and personal situations which are very tough. We have a choice, we can walk by faith or we can be full of fear. Sometimes it is not really fear, but simply allowing the situation and diagnosis to dominate our lives?
We do not ignore facts or the seriousness of the situation. Doctors will always give the ‘worst case scenario’. Faith does not hide its head in the sand, but sees beyond the present circumstances, “For nothing is impossible with God.”
Faith sees the victory on the other side of the battle.
Faith hears all the negative things that are being spoken by so many people and knows in its heart that there is always, “But God...”
Faith receives all the prophecies and promises that God has spoken over the situation and hangs in there whatever is going on, as it says in Hebrews 6:12, “We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.”
Faith has a deep and settled peace, because as the songs says, “I may not know what lies ahead .... but I know who holds the future.”
We look to the heroes of faith in the Bible and seek to follow the example of folk like Abraham, “He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed - the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.” (Romans 4:17)
To hold a constant and consistent place of faith is to have the confidence that God is at work, whatever is happening, even when there are set backs. We are then surrounded by His love, we have joy and our hearts are full of praise.
Hebrews 11:6 says, “Without faith it’s impossible........”
With faith, “All things are possible.”
