BLOTTED OUT!
31st Jan 2018
I awoke thinking of a lady I had been praying for, and found myself singing -
God has blotted them out,
I’m happy and glad and free;
God has blotted them out,
I’ll turn to Isaiah and see;
Chapter forty-four,
Twenty-two and three;
He’s blotted them out and now and I can shout,
For that means me.
The image I had was of erasing fluid being applied to a typing mistake and covering it so as to eradicate the words written previously - blotted out!
I began to pray for this particular lady who is tormented by the knowledge of past sin and failure, and although ‘theoretically’ she knows she is forgiven and accepted by God the Father on the basis of Jesus’ finished work on Calvary, satan still tempts her to despair and tells her God is angry with her, and whatever misfortune she experiences she receives as punishment for past sin!
What a deception and torment from the father of lies!
So how do we eradicate this error which is so prevalent in the body of Christ? We believe and proclaim the truth of God’s Word. Your sins have been dealt with by the work of Jesus on the Cross. He suffered, bled and died; He made atonement so that you do not have to be punished for sin.
So choose to believe that your sins are:
Out of sight - Isaiah 38:17
Out of reach - Psalm 103:12
Out of mind - Jeremiah 31:34
Out of existence - Isaiah 43:25, Isaiah 44:22-23, Psalm 51:9 & Acts 3:19
Accept this - believe it - proclaim it to yourself - use it to rebuke the accuser - to silence the enemy and deceiver - and to bring peace and assurance of victory into every area of life.
