A TIME TO STAND
04th Dec 2019
As we approach the end of the year, we find ourselves looking back and looking forward. We look at the world around us and can be tempted to despair. We may well spend time with people we do not see at other times of the year, which can cause a real challenge to our faith.
This is the time to activate your faith and not be overwhelmed by what you see. In a time of crisis in Isaiah’s day he declared, “If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.” (Isaiah 7:9) You may be in a battle against sickness and disease, it may seem that you have been fighting this for a long time and you may feel like giving up. This is the time to be strong and rise up in your faith and declare the promises that you have received.
Ephesians 6:13 says, “Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the evil day comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”
There may be family issues that become more apparent as you gather for your Christmas celebrations. Your concern grows as the situation is right in front of your face. You can be overwhelmed by what you see, or you can take hold of the promises you have received and use this time to exercise your faith and see miracles happen.
Take time to seek God for His word for each situation, write down what you hear and gain a place of faith for each one. Then as each challenge comes into your mind, rather than giving in to fear, you can take hold of God’s Word to you, and declare it with faith and boldness.
This is the time to stand your ground and proclaim that the greatness of God will come into your place of need and transform each situation.
“…..and after you have done everything, to stand.”
